thats always puzzeled me as well.

take marijuana for example. we know for a fact that cigarettes kill thousands and thousands of people a year, yet they are perfectly legal, yet something like marijuana, or these energy drinks, are the worst things ever and illegal.

Its not like I'm for alcohol/tobacco being legal either, I mean I wouldn't push for it, but wouldn't give two ****s if it was illegal. Both are just as stupid. But this one was just a non-brainer, when you combine something that counteracts one another, its going to be disasterous. That personal responsibility thing goes out the door when the drinking meter doesn't work, the caffeine cancels out the effects of the depressants, which means you would feel lessened effects - but even though you don't feel it as much, you get acohol poisoned just as easily but you don't even know it. No reason this should be on the market, none. If they want, let them buy it separately and mix it, but don't think these should be on the market.
